Sterns & Weinroth's Litigation Practice includes a diverse
group of seasoned trial attorneys. With offices in the capital
city of Trenton, in the heart of the northeast corridor, the
firm is geographically suited to serve clients throughout the
State. Although much of our litigation practice is focused
in New Jersey, our litigation team has been privileged to represent
clients both regionally and nationally.
Sterns & Weinroth has the experience and resources to
address our clients' litigation needs. Over the years, our
Litigation Practice Group has handled virtually every type
of case in a variety of procedural settings, including class
actions, multi-district litigation and adversary proceedings.
Many of our attorneys have represented clients in precedent
setting cases and also have served as amicus curiae counsel,
assisting the court in various matters. Our significant litigation
experience includes the areas of:
- business and commercial law, including claims
involving breach of contract, breach of warranty,
tortious interference and fraud, and securities matters;
- construction law;
- employment law, including wrongful discharge and
discrimination claims;
- environmental law;
- equine law;
- family
and matrimonial law, including
divorce, separation and custody disputes;
- insolvency law;
- insurance law, including defense litigation and
coverage actions as well as alleged wrongful termination
of insurance agents and brokers;
- intellectual property law;
- product liability and negligence law, including
alleged design and manufacturing defects, failure

Sterns & Weinroth prides itself on providing efficient,
cost-effective litigation strategies. We appropriately staff
matters with experienced attorneys and utilize general and
specialized paralegal support in appropriate cases. We also
use advanced case management technology, including computerized
document management and retrieval systems.
Sterns & Weinroth recognizes that in many instances litigation
is not the best option. There are times when alternative dispute
resolution, including mediation and arbitration, is the preferred
approach. Our attorneys have participated in hundreds of such
proceedings and have a keen understanding of the mindset required
to succeed in the ADR setting. We understand that creativity
and finding common ground can frequently resolve even the most
heated controversies long before the case reaches the courtroom.
